Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey Are Joined by All 3 of Their Kids at Their First Red Carpet Appearance in a Year

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey are showing off their family on the red carpet!

The 55-year-old film star and the 42-year-old model and entrepreneur attended the 13th annual Mack, Jack & McConaughey Gala with their three children — sons Levi, 16, and Livingston, 12, and daughter Vida, 15.

Together, they posed for photos at the event, hosted on Thursday, April 14 at ACL Live in Austin, Texas. This marks the first time that the entire family has graced a red carpet together since April 2024, when they attended the same fundraising event.

For the occasion, the family showed off their impeccable sense of style.

Camila opted for a black and white high-low dress with a bold floral pattern on it. Meanwhile, her daughter — who is her spitting image — selected a sleeves white dress, which matched her dad’s suit.

Both Camila and Vida wore their hair down. However, Vida left her hair in natural waves while her mom embraced a sleeker style.

Levi and Livingston kept it classic in black suits. However, the youngest member of the family opted for a T-shirt underneath instead of a more formal button-down shirt.

Matthew and Camila’s oldest is already following in his dad’s acting footsteps. In September 2024, it was revealed that Levi would make his acting debut alongside Chris Pratt in Way of the Warrior Kid, based on the book by Jocko Willink.

In his first red carpet interview, while attending the premiere of his dad’s new film The Rivals of Amziah King at SXSW Film Festival, the young movie-star-in-the-making shared some advice he got from his Hollywood veteran father.

“I mean, he gave me a lot of advice, and he was able to mentor me in a couple different ways,” Levi exclusively told PEOPLE. “But I’d say the main thing for acting, and pardon my French, is no bulls— in your bones and own what you’re doing and make a choice regardless if that ends up being the right one or the wrong one — commit to it and know what you’re saying.”

Matthew also revealed some of the advice that he shared with his son: “It’s one, you’ve got a natural ability. Two, how do we get specific about knowing where you’re coming from and where you’re going? Best acting for my money is when an actor’s caught in action, doing something. Meaning, where were you before, and where are you going after, if the camera is rolling the whole time. So you come into the scene, so the scene doesn’t feel like a fresh start and a fresh ending.”

“The other thing is, take risks,” he continued. “Don’t be afraid to make a fool of yourself – I did it plenty of times, and it’s a lot easier to go big and come back down to reality than it is to come in under and push it to more energy later. It’s a lot easier to go big, make a fool of yourself, get embarrassed, and then bring it down to reality than it is to start with low energy and go, hey, we need more.”

PEOPLE previously reported that Matthew had shown up to support his son on set, meaning that he likely got some very handy guidance in the moment.

Matthew and Camila recently celebrated their only daughter’s 15th birthday with special tributes on social media.

Taking to Instagram, the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star described Vida as his “tech guru,” saying that she was “so savvy.” He also praised her “for loving to grow things.”

“We love you so much words can not express,” Camila wrote in her own birthday tribute. “Yesterday this force of a girl turned 15! May you never forget that the first person to love is YOU…. Your name says it all…Vida!”

The mother-daughter duo is truly a fashionable pair. They showed that off in matching red looks while attending a Hermès Birkin event in New York City on June 7, 2024.

Livingston was described as his dad’s “teammate” in a December 2024 Instagram tribute that celebrated his 12th birthday.

Matthew shared the birthday message, which was accompanied by two photos of him and his youngest watching the Texas Longhorns together at the Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium.

By the sounds of it, Levi isn’t the only one of his siblings with creative pursuits.

“They’re becoming pretty good storytellers [too],” Matthew told PEOPLE in 2020. “Our youngest one will come fill us in: ‘Oh, I’m on chapter two …’ Vida really likes to paint and draw and loves graphic novels.”

He continued, noting, “For Levi it’s probably more music. Basically he came out of the womb knowing a minor from major key on the piano. In the last six months, he really got into listening to composers, and he now can listen to a movie and tell you, ‘Oh, that’s Hans Zimmer,’ or ‘That’s John Williams,’ which is really cool.”

Being a dad has also helped Matthew in his acting career. In 2024, he told PEOPLE that he became “a better artist” and a “better actor” since welcoming his three kids.

He explained, saying, “I become a better storyteller because I have kids, meaning, I come home from work on something like True Detective, and my 4-year-old kid goes, ‘What’d you do today?’ I cannot tell them what the show’s really about, it’s not age-appropriate. So I have to go into a parable for them.”

“And so I had to become a better storyteller to tell my kids about a good guy, a bad guy and a monster in this, to tell them the parable of the story I was in,” he said.

Matthew founded Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M) alongside football coach Mack Brown and country musician Jack Ingram, who both also attended the event.

The gala is part of a two-day event, which “promises another year of extraordinary entertainment with an opportunity for you to take part in a most memorable occasion benefiting charitable organizations serving our youth,” according to the organization’s website.

Together, the trio has raised more than $61 million, the website reported, adding that the trio of founders are “committed to maximizing the return to the community, specifically benefiting these organizations dedicated to children’s education, health and wellness.”
